POLICE KILL TWO SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS IN OGUN, RECOVER FIREARM AND ₦2.2M
The police have confirmed the killing of two suspected kidnappers in Ogun State during a rescue operation involving a kidnapped woman.
According to security sources, the operation led to a confrontation between the suspects and police operatives, resulting in the death of two of the alleged kidnappers.
Authorities said a firearm was recovered from the scene, along with ₦2.2 million believed to be ransom money linked to the incident.
The kidnapped victim was reportedly rescued unharmed during the operation and has since been reunited with her family.
Police officials described the exercise as part of ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and other violent crimes in the state.
They added that intelligence-led policing and rapid response strategies are being intensified to tackle criminal networks operating within Ogun and surrounding areas.

The police have vowed to continue tracking other members of the gang believed to be at large.
