POLICE DISCOVER UNEXPLODED BOMBS, WEAPONS HIDDEN IN WASTE TRUCK IN KADUNA
Kaduna Police Recover Military-Grade Bombs and Weapons Hidden in Waste from Borno
In a shocking discovery, the Kaduna State Police Command has recovered unexploded military-grade bombs and a stockpile of weapons smuggled into the state under the cover of waste materials.
According to a statement by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, the dangerous items were found on August 2, 2025, after the police received a credible intelligence tip.
The weapons, which were reportedly transported from conflict-hit Borno State, were hidden inside a waste consignment. This raised serious security concerns about the unchecked movement of hazardous materials from regions affected by insurgency and violence.
Police have since secured the area and removed the dangerous materials for safe disposal, while an investigation is ongoing to uncover those behind the smuggling attempt.
Authorities are urging citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or movements. This latest find highlights the growing risks of illegal arms movement and the potential threat it poses to national security.
