Two residents of the Aku community in Kogi State have been arrested in connection with the killing of a 25-year-old Fulani herder, identified as Sule Muhammadu.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred on October 19, 2025, when Muhammadu went out to graze his cattle in a nearby bush. His lifeless body was later discovered along the old road leading to Aku village, with a gunshot wound to his chest.

An empty cartridge was reportedly recovered from the scene, and photographs were taken before the body was released to his family for burial according to Islamic rites.

The suspects, identified as Momoh Jimoh Abdul Malik and Dada Adeika, are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
