POLICE DEBUNK VIRAL ‘WANTED’ NOTICE ON NOLLYWOOD STAR IYABO OJO
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has debunked a viral “wanted” notice making rounds on social media about popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.
The fake notice, which claimed that the actress was wanted by the Office of the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Unit, spread quickly online and stirred reactions from fans and the public.
However, in a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the police dismissed the notice as false, misleading, and never issued by the Force.
The NPF wrote:
“FAKE NEWS ALERT! This ‘WANTED’ poster of actress Iyabo Ojo did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force. It is false, misleading & was never posted on any official NPF platform. Disregard & stop spreading fake news.”
The police further cautioned Nigerians against sharing unverified information, stressing that updates and official announcements can only be confirmed through authentic NPF communication channels.
This clarification has put to rest fears and speculation surrounding Iyabo Ojo, who remains one of Nollywood’s most outspoken and celebrated actresses.
