The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has dismissed reports of a suspected kidnapping incident at a primary school in Abuja, describing the claims as false and capable of causing unnecessary panic among residents.

In a statement, the police said there was no evidence of any abduction at the school located in Abuja, urging parents and guardians to disregard circulating rumours on social media.

Security operatives were reportedly deployed to the school following the spread of the alert, where preliminary checks confirmed that all pupils and staff were safe and accounted for.
