POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS, RECOVER GUN IN OYO

Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command have arrested two suspected armed robbers and recovered a locally fabricated gun during an intelligence-led operation in the state.

The suspects were apprehended in a hideout following credible intelligence on their activities. The police also recovered ammunition and other items believed to have been used in criminal operations.

The Oyo State Police Command confirmed the arrests and said the suspects are undergoing interrogation to unravel their network and accomplices. “We are committed to making Oyo State uncomfortable for criminals,” a police spokesperson stated.

The development has been welcomed by residents, who called for sustained security operations to rid the state of criminal elements.

The suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigations.
