POLICE ARREST TWO, RECOVER ILLICIT DRUGS IN BAUCHI
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two men suspected of drug dealing during separate intelligence-led operations.
Police spokesperson SP Nafiu Habib said operatives of the Violent Crimes Response Unit carried out the arrests on October 21, 2026, as part of efforts to tackle illicit drug trafficking.
The first suspect, 29-year-old Dahiru Muhammad, was arrested at Mararaban Liman Katagum at about 5 p.m.
According to Habib, a search of the premises led to the recovery of 124 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 12 tablets of 100mg tramadol and 50 Exzol tablets.
The police said preliminary findings linked the recovered items to another suspect, identified as “G-Man,” who remained at large.
In a separate operation at about 9 p.m., officers arrested 31-year-old Victor Godwin, a resident of Bayan Gari in Bauchi metropolis.
The statement also mentioned the recovery of suspected Colorado and other illicit tablets during the operations. However, the supplied account did not specify which items were recovered in connection with the second arrest.
The allegations against the two men remain subject to investigation, and their arrests do not establish guilt.
