POLICE ARREST TWO OVER OSUN BURGLARY AS STOLEN IPHONE SELLS FOR ₦25,000
The Osun State Police Command has arrested two men over an alleged burglary in which valuables worth about ₦3 million were reportedly stolen from a residence.
The suspects were identified as 27-year-old Eyelade Anuoluwa and 28-year-old Abdullah Musa. Police said Anuoluwa allegedly burgled the residence on July 26, 2026, stealing laptops, mobile phones, power banks and recharge cards.
According to the police, Anuoluwa was arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, following intelligence gathered by operatives attached to the Ilesa Area Command. He was later transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
The command said further questioning led to the arrest of Musa, who was allegedly linked to the disposal of some of the stolen items.
Police said Musa admitted receiving the stolen property and disclosed that he bought an iPhone 12 from Anuoluwa for ₦25,000.
Several items, including two laptops, phones, power banks and an iPad, were recovered during the operation.
The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zungura, commended the officers involved and said investigation was ongoing to identify other persons connected to the alleged crime and recover more stolen property.
