The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers following a coordinated security operation aimed at curbing criminal activities in the state.

The suspects were apprehended during a routine patrol and intelligence-driven operation conducted by police operatives in the area. According to the Command, the arrests followed actionable information on the movement of suspected criminals.

During the operation, security officers reportedly recovered weapons believed to have been used in previous robbery incidents. The suspects are currently in police custody and undergoing interrogation.

Police authorities said the breakthrough is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security across Adamawa State and reduce incidents of armed robbery and violent crime.

A spokesperson for the Command noted that investigations are still ongoing to track down other members of the suspected gang who are currently at large.

The police also urged residents to continue providing timely and credible information that can assist security agencies in preventing and solving crimes.

The Command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state, stressing that criminal elements will not be allowed to operate freely.

The suspects are expected to be charged to court upon the completion of investigations.
