POLICE ARREST TILER OVER DEATH OF HOTEL WORKER IN ABUJA
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested a tiler, Samuel Net, in connection with the death of a hotel worker in Abuja’s Utako District.
Command spokesperson Josephine Adeh said police received a distress report from the hotel at about 5 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, following suspicious noise and activity on the third floor.
Officers from the Utako Divisional Police Headquarters were dispatched to investigate.
According to the police account, Net, who had been hired to carry out tiling work at the hotel, and an employee identified as Joseph Terdoo both had visible marks of violence.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the two men had a disagreement, after which Terdoo collapsed and subsequently died.
Net was arrested on suspicion of homicide.
The statement, issued on Sunday, did not explain what caused the disagreement or establish the medical cause of Terdoo’s death.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, and the allegation against the suspect has not been determined by a court.
