POLICE ARREST FATHER, SON WITH FOUR FIREARMS IN BAYELSA

Police in Bayelsa State have arrested a father and his son in possession of four firearms during a routine patrol in a community in the state.

The suspects were apprehended after a tip-off and are currently being interrogated to determine the source and intended use of the weapons. The Bayelsa State Police Command confirmed the arrest and recovery of the firearms, describing it as part of ongoing efforts to rid the state of illegal arms.

A police spokesperson stated that the command remains committed to tackling arms proliferation and improving security. The suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
