POLICE ARREST DRUG DEALER, RESCUE 14-YEAR-OLD COURIER IN BAUCHI
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old man accused of using a 14-year-old boy to deliver suspected illicit drugs.
Police spokesperson SP Nafiu Habib said officers from the Violent Crimes Response Unit intercepted the teenager during a routine patrol at about 11am on October 26, 2026.
According to the statement issued on Tuesday, the boy was allegedly carrying a whitish granular substance suspected to be methamphetamine, commonly known as Ice, to a customer.
Police said the teenager told investigators that Samuel Ogochukwu had sent him to make the delivery. Detectives subsequently traced and arrested Ogochukwu.
The command described Ogochukwu as having a previous drug conviction and said suspected methamphetamine and other controlled substances were recovered during the operation.
The teenager was rescued, according to the police.
