The Osun State Police Command has arraigned three individuals for stealing two motorcycles in the Maboreje area of Ikirun, Osun State.

According to the police spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, the suspects were arrested after a series of reports about missing motorcycles over four months prompted a police investigation. Acting on credible intelligence in March 2025, police recovered one stolen motorcycle from two brothers, Idowu Ajala (40) and Maruf Ajala (56).

Ojelabi stated, “Following complaints from residents on December 23, 2023, and March 24, 2024, it was reported that a blue TVS ‘lady’ motorcycle (registration KNR 759 UM) and another TVS motorcycle (registration FNN 898 QE) were stolen.”

Further investigations revealed that the brothers had purchased one of the stolen motorcycles through Facebook from Ibrahim Idris, a 28-year-old motorcycle mechanic from Ibadan, Oyo State. Idris was subsequently arrested.

The police confirmed that the Facebook transaction was conducted using Idowu Ajala’s account. With investigations concluded, all three suspects have been charged to court for their involvement.
