The Nigeria Police Force has arraigned three suspects before the Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and obtaining money by false pretences involving $100,000.

The suspects are George Ali, Anthony Ali and Simon Ali.

According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, the complainant allegedly transferred the money to the suspects in 2009 for the purchase and shipment of auto spare parts from the United States.

The police said the transaction was allegedly not carried out as agreed and that the funds were subsequently diverted.

The suspects were arraigned before the Federal High Court, Court 6, Maitama, Abuja, following an investigation by operatives of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau, Abuja.

The police said preliminary investigations showed that the complainant allegedly transferred the $100,000 to the suspects for the intended purchase and shipment of the spare parts.

The funds were allegedly diverted after the transaction was not completed as agreed.

The case was adjourned until December 3, 2026, for further hearing.

The police reaffirmed their commitment to investigating financial crimes and ensuring that suspects are brought before the appropriate judicial authorities in accordance with the law.

The Force also said it would continue to pursue financial crime cases through diligent investigation and due legal processes.
