PEGGY OVIRE BREAKS SILENCE ON ON-SET ALTERCATION WITH ACTOR TAYE ARIMORO
Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has finally shared her side of the story following the widely reported on-set clash with actor Taye Arimoro.
In a series of posts on Instagram, Peggy accused Taye of physically assaulting two crew members during a film shoot. According to her, the incident began when the crew asked Taye to complete two short scenes so filming could wrap up for the night.
“Taye, you beat up two crew members simply because you felt they had no voice — no social media presence, no one to speak for them. They were only begging you to please complete two short scenes so we could wrap the night. Moments later, you went live to record their reaction — leaving out the part where the violence began,” Peggy wrote.
She explained that Taye had arrived on set around noon and attempted to leave without notice when filming extended into the night. Everything had been smooth until Peggy requested that he quickly shoot one more scene before recording a behind-the-scenes clip.
“You reacted sharply when I tried to talk to you, so I decided to give you space. Later, when the Production Manager approached you to appeal for more time, you got physical with him. You had punched the Production Manager three times and he was on the floor before the driver came out,” she added.
Peggy further alleged that Taye drove off while she was still beside the car, and her driver was later found bleeding from the ear after allegedly being hit multiple times.
The actress stressed that her intention in sharing the details was not out of anger, but to set the record straight.
“I decided to share my side not out of anger, but to clarify what really happened,” she concluded.
The incident has sparked heated debates online, with many fans calling for professional accountability on set, while others urge calm and proper conflict resolution among actors and crew.
