PDP CRISIS: DAMAGUM BLAMES ‘DEVIL’S INFLUENCE’ FOR INTERNAL TURMOIL

The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, has attributed the ongoing crisis within the party to the influence of the devil on some members.

Damagum made the remark during a meeting with PDP state chairmen in Abuja. The delegation, led by the chairman of the forum, Tony Aziegbemi of Edo State, and the secretary, Edward Masha of Kaduna State, visited to express their loyalty and support for his leadership.

Addressing the gathering, Damagum urged members fueling internal conflict to retrace their steps and warned that every act of betrayal carries consequences.

He said,

“I want to use this opportunity to call on our colleagues whom the devil is using to cause division to seek wisdom and cast out that influence. Treachery against an institution that made you who you are will never bring healing. You may appear lucky for now, but remember the law of karma—what goes around comes around.”

The PDP acting chairman advised aggrieved members to embrace unity and fairness, noting that divine justice would eventually prevail.

“It is not too late to do the right thing for the party that has given you so much,” he added. “Sometimes, when I choose to follow the ways of God, people mistake it for weakness. But we exist because God exists, and He will judge us by our actions.”

Damagum ended his address with a subtle reminder of accountability and faith, saying,

“A word, they say, is enough for the wise.”

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
