Supporters of former President Goodluck Jonathan advocating his political comeback were on Saturday seen at the Peoples Democratic Party’s ongoing elective convention in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The group was spotted waving flags featuring Jonathan’s image and projecting Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed as his running mate.

Speculation has been rife about Jonathan’s potential return to contest the 2027 presidential election. While the former president has not publicly commented, his associates have reportedly confirmed his willingness to participate in the upcoming election.

Additionally, posters of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde were visible at the convention venue on Friday.
