OYO FIRE SERVICE RESCUES 27-YEAR-OLD MAN TRAPPED IN DEEP WELL IN IBADAN

The Oyo State Fire Service has recovered the body of a 27-year-old man from a well in Ibadan, the state capital.

The agency’s Chairman, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, stated that the incident occurred at 5 Binukonu Olota, Laogun area of Ibadan on Thursday evening.

Akinwande explained that the victim died after inhaling ammonia gas while attempting to clean debris inside the abandoned well.

He added, “Upon arrival, our officers swiftly deployed the necessary rescue equipment, recovered the body, and handed it over to a team from Gbagi Police Divisional Headquarters, Ibadan. The incident was caused by inhalation of ammonia gas as the victim tried to clear debris inside the well.”
