OYO APC LAMENTS ROT IN HEALTH, EDUCATION SECTORS
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has decried the alleged neglect and poor state of infrastructure in the health and education sectors under the current administration.
In a strongly worded statement issued on Wednesday, the party’s Publicity Secretary said many public hospitals and schools across the state are in deplorable conditions, with inadequate staffing, lack of essential drugs, and rundown facilities.
The APC described the situation as “a clear failure of governance” and accused the state government of prioritising less critical projects over the welfare of citizens.
“Education and health are foundational to any meaningful development. The rot in these sectors is unacceptable and must be addressed immediately,” the statement emphasised.
The opposition party called on the government to declare a state of emergency in the two sectors and commit adequate resources to their revival.
It also urged residents to demand better service delivery from their leaders ahead of the 2027 general elections.
