OYO ACQUIRES TWO SURVEILLANCE AIRCRAFT TO STRENGTHEN SECURITY OPERATIONS

The Oyo State Government has taken delivery of two surveillance aircraft as part of efforts to strengthen security operations and combat banditry and other criminal activities across the state.

State officials said the aircraft will enhance aerial surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response capabilities for security agencies, enabling them to monitor vulnerable areas more effectively and support ground operations.

The government noted that the investment is part of a broader strategy to improve public safety, protect lives and property, and address emerging security threats through the use of modern technology.

Security experts said aerial surveillance can significantly improve the detection of criminal movements, particularly in remote and difficult-to-access locations, while enhancing coordination among security agencies.

The deployment of the aircraft is expected to complement existing security measures and support efforts to curb banditry, kidnapping, and other violent crimes in the state.

The Oyo State Government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening security infrastructure and working closely with security agencies to maintain peace and create a safer environment for residents and businesses.
