The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will reclaim power in Osun State during the 2026 governorship election.

Oyetola made the declaration on Monday during a special prayer session held in Iragbiji to mark his 71st birthday. The former governor used the occasion to commend party members for their loyalty and commitment, which he described as the driving force behind APC’s strength in the state.

“We are committed and fully prepared to return our great party, the APC, to government in Osun come 2026,” Oyetola assured.

He noted that the peace and unity within the ranks of the APC remain a major advantage, adding that the resilience and dedication of party members will ensure success at the polls.

According to him, past achievements of the APC in Osun are clear evidence of its ability to deliver on promises, and with unity and consistency, the party would once again win the mandate of the people.

The Minister also expressed gratitude to supporters and organisers of the birthday prayer session, describing their gesture as deeply appreciated.

Reaffirming his belief in APC’s chances, Oyetola urged leaders and members across the state to remain steadfast and focused as the 2026 election cycle approaches.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
