OYEBANJI URGES EKITI YOUTHS TO EMBRACE OPPORTUNITIES
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has urged young people in the state to avoid shortcuts to success and take advantage of legitimate opportunities available to them.
The governor said youths should focus on acquiring relevant skills, building their careers and pursuing opportunities that can help them achieve sustainable success.
Oyebanji made the call while encouraging young people to remain committed to personal development and contribute positively to the growth of the state.
He warned against engaging in activities that promise quick wealth but could have serious consequences for their future.
The governor highlighted the importance of education, entrepreneurship, vocational training and other skills-development initiatives in helping young people become financially independent.
He said the government would continue to create opportunities and support programmes designed to empower youths and improve their prospects.
Oyebanji also encouraged young people to make use of available government initiatives rather than waiting for opportunities to come to them.
He stressed that building a successful future requires patience, discipline and a willingness to learn.
The governor urged youths to become positive examples within their communities and use their talents to contribute to Ekiti’s economic and social development.
He said the state government remained committed to providing an environment where young people could develop their skills and pursue legitimate means of earning a living.
Oyebanji called on parents, community leaders and other stakeholders to support young people and guide them towards productive opportunities.
He expressed confidence that with the right support and determination, Ekiti youths could play a significant role in the state’s future development.
