Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has said his administration fulfilled the promises he made to residents during the 2022 governorship campaign.

Oyebanji made the claim on Thursday at a town hall meeting with stakeholders from Ekiti Central Senatorial District in Aramoko Ekiti, held as part of consultations for the 2027 state budget.

The governor said his administration had responded to residents’ needs through projects captured during annual budget consultations. He urged residents to assess the government’s record based on projects executed across the state.

Oyebanji also said his administration would continue to work with the World Bank on rural infrastructure. He disclosed that about 235 kilometres of rural roads were expected to be covered under the third phase of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project.

According to him, the broader partnership is expected to support the delivery of 1,500 kilometres of roads across Ekiti State to improve transportation and access to rural communities.

The governor also spoke about efforts to address flooding and gully erosion in parts of the state, particularly Efon, Aramoko and Ado Ekiti.

On healthcare, Oyebanji said the government had renovated 110 primary healthcare centres and would continue upgrading facilities to improve access to medical services.

He also acknowledged traditional rulers for their role in community security and said the government would continue working with them to address security concerns across the state.
