Nollywood star Toyin Abraham is fast cementing her status as one of Nigeria’s top filmmakers. Her 2025 cinema release, Oversabi Aunty, has already grossed an impressive ₦711 million in just 18 days, breaking her previous box office records.

Sharing the milestone on Instagram, Toyin expressed her gratitude to God and her fans, saying her heart is full. She thanked moviegoers for their support and urged them to continue watching and spreading the word.

Just a week ago, the film had already earned ₦382,897,436 in 11 days, surpassing the pace of her previous movies, which took three weeks to hit similar numbers.

Toyin was visibly moved by the overwhelming reception she received in Bonny Island, Port Harcourt. She shared photos of packed cinemas and praised the audience for their unmatched energy and love.

Last year, the actress celebrated another milestone when Oversabi Aunty first crossed ₦100 million at the box office. Toyin, who is married to Kolawole Ajeyemi, credited her success to God while acknowledging the unwavering support of her fans.

Her achievements continue a remarkable run. Early last year, her previous cinema release, Alakada Bad and Boujee, became the 5th highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time. In recognition of her impact on the industry, Silverbird honored Toyin with the Trailblazer Award at the 2024 Silverbird Man of the Year Awards, citing her fearless approach, dynamism, and contribution to redefining Nollywood.
