OVER 4,000 NIGERIANS ENROLLED IN UK PASSPORT INTERVENTION EXERCISE
A total of 4,112 Nigerians have so far been enrolled in the United Kingdom Special Passport Intervention Exercise being conducted by the Nigeria Immigration Service. The exercise recorded another 471 applicants on Thursday, September 17, 2026, bringing the total number of people registered since its commencement to 4,112.
The Nigeria Immigration Service said the intervention exercise continued without interruption across its centres in London and Manchester. The latest figures showed that 343 applicants were enrolled at the Manchester centre, while 128 people completed their registration in London during the 10th day of the exercise.
The Service explained that the exercise was designed to provide intervention for Nigerians requiring passport-related services in the United Kingdom. Officials have continued the enrolment process at the designated centres as the exercise progresses, with applicants being attended to according to the arrangements put in place by the immigration authorities.
The Nigeria Immigration Service also disclosed that passport production and dispatch for applicants who had already completed their enrolment were continuing without disruption. This means applicants who had previously gone through the process are still having their passports processed and sent out as the intervention exercise continues.
The intervention remains ongoing across the designated centres in London and Manchester. The Nigeria Immigration Service has urged applicants participating in the exercise to continue cooperating with officials at the centres and follow the procedures provided to ensure that the enrolment and passport processing activities proceed smoothly.
