OVER 1,000 CHILDREN JOIN FOLA DAVID WORLD RECORD DRIVE
Nigerian visual artist Fola David is bringing together 1,000 children from Lagos State public schools for an ambitious art project aimed at setting a Guinness World Record.
The event, titled Colors of Possibility, is scheduled for November 11, 2026, at Onikan Stadium in Lagos, starting at 8 a.m.
According to the organisers, the children will help create a continuous fabric marbling artwork measuring 150 square metres. The project targets the record for the largest fabric marbling painting.
Beyond the record attempt, the initiative aims to encourage creativity, teamwork and self-expression among participating pupils.
Working alongside Fola David, the children will contribute to a shared artwork, giving them an opportunity to explore their artistic abilities outside the classroom.
Members of the public are invited to attend and watch the artwork take shape. Participation in the children’s painting activity will be arranged separately through the selected schools.
The organisers describe the project as a celebration of young imaginations and the possibilities within every child.
The event remains a planned record attempt; any recognition will depend on Guinness World Records’ assessment.
