OTTI APPROVES ABIA LABOUR PARTY CAMPAIGN COUNCIL FOR 2027

Abia State Governor Alex Otti has approved the constitution of the Labour Party Governorship Campaign Council for the 2027 election.

The campaign structure covers the state’s three senatorial zones and various state constituencies, with Otti appointed as chairman and his deputy, Ikechukwu Emetu, as vice-chairman.

Agwu U. Agwu was appointed Director-General of the council, while Eric Egwuibe will serve as Director of Finance. Chibuzor Obiesili was named Director of Strategy and Planning, and Kelechi Nwaiwu, SAN, was appointed Director of Legal.

Other appointments include Onyebuchi Ememanka as Director of Publicity, Christian Anokwuru as Director of Special Duties and retired AIG Arungwa Nwazue as head of the Security Directorate.

The campaign council also created coordination positions for Abia Central, Abia North and Abia South.

Professor Udochukwu Ogbonna was named coordinator for Abia Central, Chief Emeka Charles Kalu for Abia North and Chimaobi Ebisike for Abia South.

The council also appointed coordinators for individual state constituencies as the Labour Party begins preparations for the 2027 governorship election.
