OTELE FIT FOR HAMBURG’S BUNDESLIGA SHOWDOWN WITH BORUSSIA DORTMUND
Philip Otele has been declared fit for Hamburger SV’s upcoming Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund after recovering from a brief illness.
The Nigerian winger had been battling sickness earlier in the week, which initially put his participation in the trip to Dortmund in doubt.
However, Hamburg have now confirmed that the 26-year-old has recovered and is available for selection ahead of the encounter.
Otele joined the German side on loan from Swiss club FC Basel during the January transfer window.
Since arriving at the club, he has made six appearances in the Bundesliga and has registered one assist.
The forward will also be looking forward to the upcoming international break, where he hopes to make his debut for the Super Eagles.
Nigeria are scheduled to play friendly matches against Iran and Jordan next week, providing Otele with a potential opportunity to earn his first senior cap for the national team.
