OSUN MAY HALT OVERHEAD RELEASES OVER POOR ACCOUNTABILITY

The Osun State Government has threatened to suspend overhead releases to Ministries, Departments and Agencies over concerns about poor accountability in the management of public funds.

The government said some MDAs had failed to properly account for funds previously released to them, raising concerns about financial management and compliance with established procedures.

The proposed suspension is intended to compel affected agencies to provide proper documentation and account for the use of public resources.
