The Osun State Government has announced the release of the first batch of candidates selected for employment in public primary and secondary schools across the state.

Successful applicants are advised to verify their names online or at designated government offices, including the Osun State Civil Service Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Teaching Service Commission, and the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) headquarters in Osogbo.

The announcement was made on Friday in Osogbo by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi. According to the statement, candidates can begin collecting their letters of appointment from Monday, March 9, 2026.

“The Osun State Government has released the names of the first batch of successful applicants for immediate recruitment into public primary and secondary schools in the state,” the statement read.

Alimi explained that the recruitment exercise is part of the government’s plan to strengthen the education sector and improve the quality of teaching and learning in public schools across Osun.

He conveyed the message of Governor Ademola Adeleke, who congratulated the shortlisted applicants and urged them to view the opportunity as a call to serve the state. The governor encouraged the new recruits to carry out their duties with dedication and professionalism to contribute meaningfully to the growth of education in Osun.

Governor Adeleke also thanked all applicants who participated in the recruitment exercise, commending them for their patience and cooperation. The government further advised successful candidates to complete all necessary documentation before collecting their appointment letters.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
