Osun Apc Women Group Pledges One Million Votes For Tinubu, Niwa Md
A women’s political support group in Osun State, under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Iron Ladies, has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 presidential election.
The group also pledged to deliver one million votes to the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, should he secure the APC governorship ticket for Osun State’s 2026 election.
Speaking during a mobilisation event held at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office in Osogbo, the group’s State Coordinator, Deaconess Adesola Ayangbile, stated:
“We have begun grassroots, door-to-door mobilisation for the APC ahead of the 2026 and 2027 elections, targeting one million votes across Osun State to actualise our collective aspirations.”
Backing Oyebamiji’s Candidacy
Ayangbile noted that the group’s support for Oyebamiji is rooted in their personal and collective conviction about his competence and achievements in both the private and public sectors. She commended his longstanding contributions to the development of Osun State, having served in various strategic capacities.
“Our endorsement of Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji reflects our belief in his leadership capacity and track record of service. He has demonstrated excellence, commitment, and integrity in all roles he has undertaken,” she added.
Reaffirming Support for Tinubu’s Administration
The group reaffirmed its “unalloyed support” for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, praising his leadership and governance over the past two years.
Ayangbile further urged APC women across the state to remain steadfast, focused, and vocal in promoting the party’s ideals and ensuring electoral victory for its candidates.
Women as the Engine Room of Osun Politics
Also speaking at the event, former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, hailed the APC women’s wing as the “political pillar, lifeline, and engine room” of politics in the state.
He applauded their commitment and emphasized the pivotal role women play in political mobilisation, election victories, and party stability across Osun and beyond.
