OSUN AMOTEKUN COMMANDER, ISAAC OMOYELE, SURVIVES ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT BY ARMED GUNMEN
The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Isaac Omoyele, has narrowly escaped an assassination attempt after being ambushed by armed men late on Monday night.
The attack occurred around 10:05 p.m. along Ikirun Road, Osogbo, shortly after Omoyele left the Amotekun Corps Headquarters for his home. According to reports, the gunmen opened fire on his private vehicle, riddling it with bullets.
A statement issued by the Corps spokesperson, Yusuf Idowu Abass, confirmed that the incident has been reported to the Nigerian Police, Ota-Efun Division, Osogbo.
Omoyele sustained gunshot injuries and was immediately rushed to an undisclosed medical facility, where he is currently receiving treatment under protective watch. His condition has been described as stable.

While investigations are ongoing, authorities have not yet identified the attackers, and no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
The Amotekun Corps has assured the public that security operations across the state remain intact as efforts continue to uncover the motive behind the attack.
