OSIMHEN JOINS GALATASARAY AS CLUB SEALS DEALS FOR TWO MORE PLAYERS
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has officially joined Turkish giants Galatasaray, according to Turkish sports commentator Zeki Uzundurukan.
Speaking on Galatasaray’s transfer updates, Uzundurukan confirmed that the club had finalized a permanent deal with Napoli for Osimhen and revealed that two more signings are on the way — one of whom is a goalkeeper.
“Osimhen always wanted to come to Galatasaray. He never even considered offers from Saudi Arabia,” Uzundurukan said.
He praised Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek for handling the complex transfer process, saying, “If it had been any other Turkish club, even with €150 million available, they might not have pulled this off.”
Uzundurukan also claimed there were attempts to sabotage the deal, but Osimhen remained firm in his desire to play for the Turkish champions.
Backing this up, Galatasaray’s vice president Abdullah Kavukcu emphasized how committed Osimhen was to joining the team.
He said the 26-year-old Nigerian forward turned down “incredible offers” from other clubs just to wear the Galatasaray jersey.
The club reportedly reached an agreement with Napoli on payment terms and bank guarantees, making one of the biggest transfers in Turkish football history possible.
Fans are now eagerly waiting for the official unveiling of Osimhen and the announcement of the other two new signings expected to join him.
