THE JURY

OSCAR-WINNING WRITER PETER STRAUGHAN JOINS JURY FOR WOMEN AND THE WORLD FILM FESTIVAL 2025
The Women and the World International Film Festival (Iffww) is set to return to London from November 6–12, 2025, with a powerful theme: “Peace Strategies: Women as Agents of Security.”
This year’s edition has attracted a star-studded jury led by Peter Straughan, the Oscar and BAFTA-winning screenwriter behind Conclave. He will be joined by an impressive lineup of actors, directors, and producers from around the world.
Among them are British actors Daniel Ings and Tamara Lawrance, Danish actor-director Diêm Camille, writer-director-actor-producer Marcia Kimpton, actor-producer Victoria Emslie, Ukrainian filmmaker Ksenia Bugrimova (The Wishlist), and documentary curator Elizabeth McIntyre.
Festival co-founder Bugrimova described the event’s spirit as:
“Iffww is about depth and power — red lips in the middle of the blitz, resilience when the world is falling apart.”
What to Expect at the Festival
The festival isn’t just about film screenings. Visitors can look forward to:
British premieres of powerful films from across the globe.
Masterclasses and panels with top industry professionals.
Art exhibitions that complement the film showcases.
The prestigious Woman of World Impact Award, celebrating women who drive change through creativity and leadership.
Why It Matters
Last year’s Grand Prix winner, Porcelain War, went on to receive an Academy Award nomination, proving Iffww’s growing influence as a platform for groundbreaking cinema.
This year, with its focus on women as peacebuilders and changemakers, the festival promises to shine an even brighter light on stories of resilience, security, and hope in challenging times.
London will once again become the global stage where art, activism, and storytelling meet — with women’s voices leading the way.
