Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has promised to give his all for Trabzonspor after sealing a return to the Turkish Super Lig side.

Onuachu, who enjoyed a brilliant loan spell with the Black Sea Storm in the 2023/24 season, scored 15 goals in just 21 league games, quickly becoming a fan favourite.

Although Trabzonspor initially struggled to meet Southampton’s asking price, they finally secured his signature in June after reaching an agreement with the English club.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Onuachu said returning to a club where he’s already loved by the fans gives him extra motivation.

“When you come back to a place you’ve played before, if the fans love you, you naturally put in the extra effort,” he said. “That’s what I’ll do. I’ll be here with a different energy.”

With his goal-scoring record and renewed commitment, Trabzonspor supporters will be hoping Onuachu can fire the team to even greater success this season.
