ONLY GOD KNOWS IF PDP WILL WIN 2027 — DAN ULASI
Chief Dan Ulasi, a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said that only God can determine whether the opposition party will return to power in the 2027 presidential elections.
Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Friday, Ulasi explained that while the PDP is working hard to reorganize and strengthen its structures, its ultimate survival and success rest on divine will.
“Only God knows who will be alive tomorrow, so I don’t make assumptions beyond my control. We have our hopes and desires, but if PDP survives as we are trying to do, then we’ll see what happens in 2027,” he said.
He revealed that at the party’s last National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, at least seven PDP governors were present — a sign of renewed unity within the party.
Ulasi further emphasized the need for fairness in zoning, noting that while the PDP has zoned its presidential ticket to the South, justice demands it should be micro-zoned to the South East, which is yet to produce a president in the current democratic era.
