The Ondo State Competition and Consumer Protection Agency (ODCCPA) has directed all commercial enterprises operating within the state to complete their mandatory registration within a strict one-month grace period.
The directive was announced by the agency's leadership in Akure, highlighting the state government's commitment to tracking commercial activities, enforcing consumer rights, and maintaining standard operating guidelines across all sectors.
According to the regulatory authority, the registration exercise is compulsory for every commercial entity, ranging from retail outlets and service providers to corporate establishments, ensuring that consumer safety and market standards are effectively monitored.
The agency emphasized that the digital registration portal has been streamlined to enable business owners to complete their documentation seamlessly without unwarranted administrative delays.
Furthermore, officials warned that failure to comply with the directive before the expiration of the stipulated timeframe will attract appropriate regulatory sanctions in line with state laws governing commercial operations.
Business proprietors and corporate stakeholders have consequently been urged to utilize the grace period to formalize their operations, assuring the public that the initiative is designed to foster a transparent, safe, and competitive economic landscape across the state.
