ONDO LANDLORD KILLS TWO MISSING AAUA STUDENTS OVER GRUDGE – POLICE REVEAL
The mystery behind the disappearance of two students from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) has taken a heartbreaking turn, as the Ondo State Police Command confirmed their deaths.
The students, Andrel Eloho Okah (25) and John Friday Abba (19), both 200-level undergraduates, had been declared missing for over three weeks. Okah was in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, while Abba was in History and International Studies, Faculty of Arts.
One of the victims’ bodies was discovered near the border between Ondo and Ekiti States, while the search for the second body continues.
According to the police, three suspects have been arrested in connection with the killings. Shockingly, one of them is their landlord, identified as Oladele Femi, also known as “Tallest.” He is said to be the prime suspect.
Briefing the media in Akure, Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, revealed that the female student, Abba, was sexually assaulted before she was murdered alongside her male friend.
The motive behind the crime reportedly stemmed from a grudge between the landlord and one of the students, John Friday Abba. CP Lawal stated:
“The principal suspect had a disagreement with John Friday Abba and brought in others to 'deal with him.' In his own words, he wanted to ‘treat his f**k-up’.”
After committing the heinous act, the suspects stole Okah’s iPhone and his Lexus RX 350 SUV.
The police have vowed to bring everyone involved to justice. Meanwhile, the campus community and families of the victims are in deep mourning over the tragic loss.
This incident has sparked renewed concerns about student safety in off-campus accommodations and the need for better screening of property owners and caretakers.
