ONDO APC YOUTHS BEGIN FRESH GRASSROOTS DRIVE FOR TINUBU
Youths of the All Progressives Congress in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State have begun renewed grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, with party leaders calling for greater unity and support for President Bola Tinubu. The mobilisation was highlighted at a youth summit organised by the APC youth leadership in the council area, bringing together party members, students, educators and other stakeholders.
The APC Youth Leader and organiser of the summit, Busari Mustapha, said unity among party members was important to strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and sustaining its programmes. He appreciated party leaders and residents for their support for the Tinubu administration and urged members to work together while preparing for the forthcoming elections.
Mustapha also called on young people to avoid drug abuse and focus on education, skills acquisition and entrepreneurship as ways of building self-reliance and contributing to their communities. He commended the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for what he described as his contributions to youth development and empowerment, particularly in Akoko North-West.
The APC Chairman in Akoko North-West, Kehinde Obanla, also encouraged members and residents to maintain their support for the APC-led government. Similarly, the member representing Akoko North-West Constituency I in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Fatai Atere, who is seeking re-election, appealed for continued support for the party and its programmes.
The summit also featured an inter-school quiz competition involving students from the two constituencies in Akoko North-West. Students from Constituency I emerged winners and received a cash prize of ₦100,000. Other speakers, including the Director-General of BTO4PBAT, Adojutelegan Adesuyi Gideon, and Hon. Idowu Aiyegbusi, stressed party unity and constructive youth participation as the APC continues its preparations for the 2027 elections.
