Former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore, has declared that he is confident of winning the party’s governorship ticket ahead of the 2026 Osun State election.

Speaking at his official declaration event in Osogbo on Tuesday, Omisore said that over 90 percent of APC members in the state were behind his ambition.

He expressed optimism that the people of Osun would vote massively for the APC in the forthcoming poll scheduled for August 8, 2026, adding that the party was fully prepared to reclaim the state.

“Going forward, I am expecting the people of Osun State to vote for APC en masse come August 8, 2026,” he said.

“This shows how prepared our core members are to ensure I become the party’s candidate by God’s grace in December and to strengthen the people’s trust in the next APC government in Osun State.”

Omisore, who represented Osun East Senatorial District between 2003 and 2011, noted that the enthusiasm among party supporters reflected APC’s growing strength across the state.

“APC’s chance in 2026 is 100 percent. These are volunteers from every part of the state, and this is just internal mobilization ahead of our primaries in December,” he added.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), party primaries for the Osun governorship election will hold between November 24 and December 15, 2025.
