Ola of Lagos Breaks Silence After Lagos Government Demolishes His Car Showroom

Popular Nigerian influencer and luxury car dealer, Waris Olayinka Akinwande, better known as Ola of Lagos, has spoken out following the demolition of his newly built car showroom, OOL Autos, by the Lagos State Government.

The demolition, which took place on Saturday, left fans shocked as images and videos of the incident circulated widely online.

Despite the setback, Ola of Lagos maintained his trademark positivity, assuring his followers that the situation is only a temporary hurdle and that he is already making plans for a stronger comeback.

“New showroom coming soon… Bigger and better, Insha Allah. We’re still active! We existed long before our physical showroom, and we’ll continue to thrive,” he wrote on his Instagram story.

Known for his motivational and resilient attitude, the social media influencer also took time to appreciate his fans and well-wishers who reached out to him after the loss.

“Omo, these calls and messages, thank you all so much. I’m good, I promise. I’m even smiling right now. I’ve been taking losses for a long time — losses that could easily buy me a bedroom apartment in Ikoyi,” he said.
“But man just reflects, smiles, thanks God, comes online to motivate others, shows love, and keeps going. All is well, haha.”

Ola of Lagos, who rose to fame through his viral videos reviewing luxury cars and properties, has since become one of Nigeria’s most recognizable automotive influencers, working with several top brands and celebrities.

While details surrounding the demolition remain unclear, many Nigerians have commended his optimism and calm response, seeing it as a reflection of true entrepreneurial spirit and faith.

As he puts it, this is not the end for OOL Autos — just the beginning of a bigger comeback story.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
