OKPEBHOLO CHARGES NEW APPOINTEES

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has urged members of four newly inaugurated government bodies to put public interest first and carry out their duties with integrity, humility and accountability.

The governor gave the charge during the inauguration of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Consumer Protection Committee and Edo State Rural Access Roads Agency.

Okpebholo said the appointments came with a responsibility to serve the people and contribute to the development of the state. He urged the appointees to work together and ensure that their decisions reflect the needs and welfare of Edo residents.

The governor also stressed the importance of dedication and accountability in public office, reminding the new members that their positions were intended to serve the state rather than personal interests.

The newly inaugurated bodies are expected to play roles in areas including pilgrimage services, consumer protection and the development of rural road infrastructure.

Okpebholo said his administration would continue to strengthen government institutions and improve service delivery across the state.

The governor expressed confidence that the new appointees would bring their experience to bear and support the administration’s efforts to improve governance and address challenges affecting residents.
