The Ojodu Local Council Development Area in Lagos State has partnered with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund to expand access to financial support and create more job opportunities for residents.

The partnership is aimed at helping small business owners and entrepreneurs access loans and other forms of support to grow their businesses and create employment.

Officials said the initiative would focus on residents with viable business ideas and existing enterprises that require funding to expand their operations.

The council said strengthening small and medium-sized businesses remains important to improving livelihoods and supporting economic activity within the community.

Through the collaboration, eligible residents are expected to receive better access to the programmes and financing opportunities provided by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund.

The partnership is also expected to encourage more young people and aspiring entrepreneurs to pursue legitimate business opportunities rather than remain unemployed.

Officials from both organisations said they would work together to ensure that residents are properly informed about the available opportunities and the requirements for accessing the support.

The council urged residents to take advantage of the initiative and use any financial assistance responsibly to build sustainable businesses.

The partnership forms part of wider efforts by the Lagos State Government and its agencies to support entrepreneurship, expand access to affordable financing and create jobs for residents across the state.
