Apex Igbo socio-cultural organization in Ogun State pledges political backing while conferring traditional title on Senator Solomon Adeola to promote peaceful co-existence and inclusive development

The Ogun State chapter of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office and declared support for Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The group announced its political decision during a cultural reception and strategic endorsement event held in Ogun West, where the socio-cultural leadership highlighted the need to foster inter-ethnic unity, political alignment, and socio-economic integration across the state.

Speaking at the gathering, the President of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo in Ogun State, Eze Stephen Okorie, stated that the Igbo community's support for Senator Adeola stems from his track record of infrastructure development, human capital empowerment, and economic projects that benefit all residents regardless of ethnic origin.

Eze Okorie further noted that supporting Senator Adeola's political trajectory aligns with addressing long-standing equity concerns regarding Ogun West Senatorial District, which has not produced a executive governor since the creation of Ogun State.

Accepting the endorsement and a chieftaincy title conferred on him by the Igbo community, Senator Adeola reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance, assuring that infrastructural improvements, market expansions, and social welfare programs will continue to benefit all law-abiding business operators and residents in Ogun State.

The public declaration was attended by senior government officials, including the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Kunle Salako, alongside state executive cabinet members and community leaders across Ogun West.
