Youths under the City Boy Movement in Imeko-Afon have called for inclusive governance, grassroots development, and peaceful political participation.

The demand was made during a stakeholders’ meeting where participants stressed that young people must play stronger roles in governance and nation-building.

The local coordinator, Jamiu Ogundele, urged youths to reject political thuggery and violence, especially as activities ahead of the 2027 elections begin to intensify.

He said democracy can only deepen when youths actively participate through constructive engagement and leadership.

Other speakers also encouraged young people to see themselves as agents of change, promote peace, and strengthen democratic institutions.

Participants commended Seyi Tinubu for creating the platform, describing it as a means of youth mobilisation and political awareness.

They also praised Governor Dapo Abiodun and the All Progressives Congress for endorsing Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as the party’s governorship candidate for 2027.

The meeting ended with a pledge to support peaceful politics, inclusive governance, and grassroots progress across Ogun State.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
