OGUN RESIDENTS SEEK SUPPORT AS 250 BENEFIT FROM HEALTH OUTREACH

More than 250 residents of Davol Community along Idiroko Road, Ota, Ogun State, have benefited from a free medical and welfare outreach organised by the Beulah World Initiative.

The outreach, held on Saturday, was aimed at supporting residents facing difficulties accessing healthcare and meeting basic needs amid rising living costs.

The programme provided medical consultations, health screenings, HIV testing, paediatric deworming, health education and prescription drugs. Food packs and clothing were also distributed to vulnerable residents.

The founder and coordinator of the initiative, Chichi Ononiwu, said the organisation was committed to bringing healthcare and other forms of assistance closer to underserved communities.

A medical volunteer, Matron Olubunmi Abatan, said the team attended to residents with various health complaints, including high blood pressure, and provided necessary treatment and support.

Some beneficiaries said the outreach offered relief as the rising cost of healthcare and medication had made it difficult for them to access essential services.

The organisers appealed for continued support from individuals, government and private donors to enable them to extend similar interventions to more underserved communities across Ogun State and other parts of Nigeria.
