OGUN POLICE NAB TWO MEN WITH THREE HUMAN SKULLS
Police in Ogun State have arrested two men over the unlawful possession of three human skulls in the Ijebu area.
The first suspect, motorcycle rider Kadir Owolabi, was apprehended on Monday around 2 p.m. during a stop-and-search operation by mobile police officers from 71 PMF Awa Ijebu along the Ijebu Ode–Ibadan Expressway, near Refugees Camp Junction, Oru Ijebu.
A search of his luggage revealed the disturbing find. Further investigations led to the arrest of Jamiu Yisa, 53, at a location behind the Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat.
Ogun Police spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrests in a statement on Tuesday, adding that Commissioner of Police Lanre Ogunlowo has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case.
Odutola reiterated the command’s commitment to combating crime and urged residents to support police efforts, assuring the public of confidentiality and protection of informants’ identities.
