OGUN APC SUSPENDS SENATOR DANIEL, FOLARIN OVER ANTI-PARTY ALLEGATIONS
The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin indefinitely over alleged anti-party activities.
The suspension, which was ratified by the State Working Committee (SWC) led by Chief Yemi Sanusi, followed recommendations from the ward executives in Sagamu Local Government Area.
According to the party, both politicians were accused of misconduct, including attempts to pressure party members to withdraw petitions filed against them.
Despite being invited to defend themselves—either in person or through written submissions—Daniel and Folarin reportedly ignored all summons.
The committees further alleged that the duo harassed some party members in a bid to frustrate the disciplinary process.
After reviewing documents and testimonies, the SWC upheld the decision of the wards and announced their indefinite suspension, saying it was necessary to maintain discipline and uphold the constitution of the party.
Confirming the development, the State APC Director of Publicity, Nuberu Olufemi, emphasized that the party is committed to fairness, accountability, and respect for internal rules and regulations.
