Residents and supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Offa, Kwara State, have welcomed the party’s 2027 deputy governorship candidate, Seun Ogunniyi Adato, during his homecoming to the town.

Adato, an indigene of Offa, was received by party members and community stakeholders on Wednesday in a procession that moved from the Offa Eid Praying Ground through major streets before ending at the palace of the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II.

Party supporters displayed banners and chanted in support of Adato, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Speaker Yakubu Danladi and the APC.

The gathering at the palace was attended by party leaders, lawmakers, government officials and other APC candidates, including the House of Representatives candidate for Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency, Rafiu Ajakaye.

A former Kwara Assembly leader, Hassan Oyeleke, thanked Governor AbdulRazaq for selecting an Offa indigene as his running mate and said the visit was to seek the traditional ruler’s blessing ahead of the 2027 campaign.

Offa APC Chairman Adegboye Kunle Papa described the visit as part of traditional consultations before wider political engagements.

The Olofa commended the state government and called for the continuation of what he described as fairness, justice and equity in governance.
