ODUMODUBLVCK BACKS PASTOR ADEBOYE’S ₦1B APPEAL, SAYS HE’D GLADLY GIVE IF HE HAD IT
Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has come out in strong support of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), following online criticism over the pastor’s call for wealthy church members to contribute ₦1 billion each towards church projects.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the rapper made it clear that he sees nothing wrong with the request. He stated that if he had such an amount, he would gladly donate it — and even more — to support the work of God.
“If I had a billion to contribute to the RCCG, I would do it and even more. It is not by force to we serve the Lord. They did not say if you do not drop 1B, you will not enter heaven,” Odumodublvck wrote.
He went on to affirm his commitment to his faith, adding:
“As for me and my household, we will continue to support the work of Christ shamelessly, no matter what you people throw at us. You are just fulfilling the scriptures. God bless you .”
His statement has sparked mixed reactions online — with some praising his devotion and others insisting the amount requested is too high for any church member to be asked to give.
For Odumodublvck, however, the message is simple: giving to God’s work should be a matter of personal choice, not public outrage.
